If you can't feed em don't breed em!

Been meaning to put this on here never got round to it.
This was discussed at the school I work it and it BUGS me! That the reason some parents give their kids rubbish food is because they can't afford the healthy stuff! Like biscuits are cheaper than fruit they said. I don't know if they are or not but I thought this was ridiculous and if you can't afford to feed your kids properly you should maybe have thought twice before having them. I know circumstances CAN change but they made it sound like a common thing. I also thought are these parents NOT making the sacrifices they are supposed to so they can give their kids proper food? I mean it just seems like one of the basics. I dunno maybe I'm wrong and it's just easy for me to say cos I'm not a parent but it kind of annoyed me. Am I being horrible and heartless or do you think I have a point here?! (Yes people going through hard times CAN get benefits here)
