We would like to go snowboarding in South Australia or New Zealand in Aug - accommodation suggestions pls?

I have lived in New Zealand and presently live in South Australia. South Australia does not have ski fields but Victoria, the neighbouring state does. In New Zealand, you will be spoilt for choice with heaps and heaps of ski fields, all not too far from each other considering the size of NZ. Secondly, the NZ$ is weaker than the AUD$, so your money will go further in NZ. Moreover, in NZ skiing is cheaper as our ski infrastructure is better developed there. YOu will also find cheap resorts charging about NZ$25 per night or so. I dont think you need a visa on a US passport.
