What is a host interface inside a chipset? Empty What is a host interface inside a chipset?

I have the SIS671 northbridge chipset and it states in the documentation from SIS that it can accommodate up to a 800Mhz processor and the host interface can accommodate a 1066Mhz processor. But, my laptop has only one socket on the motherboard for a processor. So where does the host interface come into the equation?
